Sheridan High School served as host of the 2023 Sheridan Senior Yellowjacket Relays on Thursday, March 14. The hosting senior boys’ squad finished fourth in the event with 81 points, behind Lake Hamilton (111), Cabot (96) and Hot Springs (86).

The Sheridan Junior Yellowjackets placed third at the meet they hosted on Tuesday, March 14. The Sheridan Junior Yellowjacket Relays were won by Lakeside with a score of 164, followed by Benton in second place with 160.5 points. Sheridan placed third with 75 points.
The 2023 Sheridan Junior Yellowjacket Relays were held on Tuesday, March 14, with the hosting Junior Lady Jackets placing fifth with 56 points. The winner of the meet was won by Lake Hamilton with187.5 points and Lakeside’s 137 point performance was good enough for second place.

The Sheridan Lady Yellowjackets’ softball team added another four wins to their total last week. Sheridan defeated Lake Hamilton 13-2 on Tuesday, March 7, Springdale 11-2 on Friday, March 10, Gentry 7-2, also on Friday and Northside 4-1 on Saturday March 11.
The Sheridan Junior Yellowjackets went on the road on Tuesday, March 7 for the Hot Springs Lakeside Junior Relays. In the meet, the Junior Jackets had many athletes finish in the top eight in their individual events to score points for their team.
It’s taken two years to get much accomplished at the city’s sports complex, but Parks and Recreation Director Joel Stanton says it will be three more before the entire area has been renovated or upgraded.
