The Sheridan Yellowjackets freshman team opened the 2016-17 season with two impressive wins last week. On Tuesday, they outlasted the rival Benton Panthers, 43-33, then Thursday they edged Little Rock Christian 37-35. In eighth-grade games, the Jackets struggled a bit, falling to Benton 32-19 and Little Rock Christian, 43-13.
