Sheridan takes two from Lake Hamilton
The Sheridan Yellowjackets’ baseball team played two games last week, both against Lake Hamilton. The Jackets went on the road to pick up a 9-0 win on Tuesday, March 7 and Sheridan won 3-1 in a pitcher’s duel on Friday, March 10.
Indians battle errors along with opponents
Last week, the Poyen Indians’ baseball team played three games, winning one. Errors played a role in each game, especially in the final game of the week. Across the three games, the Indians committed 21 errors, while their opponents had 12 errors.
Lady Jackets continue diamond dominance
The Sheridan Lady Yellowjackets’ softball team added another four wins to their total last week. Sheridan defeated Lake Hamilton 13-2 on Tuesday, March 7, Springdale 11-2 on Friday, March 10, Gentry 7-2, also on Friday and Northside 4-1 on Saturday March 11.
Junior Jackets find success at meet
The Sheridan Junior Yellowjackets went on the road on Tuesday, March 7 for the Hot Springs Lakeside Junior Relays. In the meet, the Junior Jackets had many athletes finish in the top eight in their individual events to score points for their team.

The Class 5A State Indoor Track Meet was held recently at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, with the Sheridan Lady Yellowjackets setting school records while finishing third overall in a field of more than 20 schools.
Sheridan seniors secure second seed
