Sheridan hosted the River City Conference Meet on Monday, April 17, with the Junior Lady Yellowjackets winning convincingly. Sheridan finished with a total of 192.66 points, while second-place White Hall and third-place Sylvan Hills finished with 153 points and 100 points, respectively.
The Sheridan Yellowjackets’ baseball team won three games with authority last week. They took down Pine Bluff 12-4 at home on Tuesday, April 11, they then took out Monticello 4-1 on Thursday, April 13 and finished the week with a 21-6 win at Pine Bluff in six innings.
The Sheridan Lady Yellowjackets’ softball team had a busy week, playing three games. In the first two, the Lady Jackets outscored their opponents 32-0 in a total of eight innings.
The Poyen Junior Indians and Junior Lady Indians’ track and field teams traveled to Gurdon on Tuesday, April 11 to take part in the Junior Georgia Pacific Relays.
The Sheridan Lady Yellowjackets’ track and field team took part in the Lake Hamilton Senior High Invitational on Thursday, April 13, finishing fifth at the event.
