Mary Stone of Sheridan, Ark., was born March 25, 1942, near Pine Bluff, Ark., the daughter of the late Vance and Lucy Brantley Black. Mrs. Stone died Feb. 11, 2014, at Baptist Heath Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 71.
Dennis Channell
Dennis Channell, 55, of Poyen, Ark., passed away Feb. 10, 2014. Dennis served on the Poyen Fire Department since 1993, was a member of Moose Lodge #2365, one of the founders of the Oak Tree Club, and was the firework technician for Poyen's July 4th celebration.
Hazel O. 'Nanny' Sims
Hazel O. ‘Nanny’ Sims, 87, peacefully passed away on Feb. 7, 2014, in Benton, Ark. She was born on June 18, 1926, in El Dorado, Ark., to James Oliver Sterrett and Henrietta Ross Sterrett.
John Thomas "J.T." Smith, Jr.
John Thomas “J.T.” Smith, Jr. of Sheridan, Ark., was born April 28, 1925, near Sheridan, Ark., the son of the late John Thomas Smith, Sr. and Nettie Dupriest Smith. Mr. Smith died Feb. 15, 2014, at McClellan V.A. Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 88.
Margery Lee Cotton Irvin
Margery Lee Cotton Irvin of Sheridan, Ark., was born July 27, 1921, in Kinta, Okla., the daughter of the late Henry Frank and Edith Coker Cotton. Mrs. Irvin died Feb. 20, 2014, at her home at the age of 92.
Martha Ann Wood George
Martha Ann Wood George of Sheridan, Ark., was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of the late William Tarpley and Nona A. Riffle Wood. Mrs. George died on Feb. 21, 2014, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 72.
John McJunkins
John McJunkins, 44, of Malvern, Ark., currently living in Sheridan, Ark., passed away Feb. 20, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born Nov. 11, 1969, in Malvern the son of Hueston and Twyla Lanphier McJunkins.
Tena Michelle Bailey Cullins
Tena Michelle Bailey Cullins of Prattsville, Ark., was born Jan. 4, 1972, in Eudora, Ark., the daughter of the late Troy and Effie May Bowden Bailey. Tena died Feb. 20, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 42.

Nicholas Ashton Ard of Leola, Ark., was born Dec. 15, 1991, in Pine Bluff, Ark., the son of Tim and Brenda Cissell Yarbrough. Nicholas died on Feb. 16, 2014, at his home at the age of 22.

Donald Ray Mooney of Mabelvale, Ark., was born May 23, 1952, at Malvern, Ark., the son of the late George Edward Mooney and Charlene Steele Mooney. Ray died Feb. 17, 2014, at his home, at the age of 61.

Anita Lynn Burdess Trammell of Sheridan, Ark., was born March 28, 1961, at Story City, Iowa, the daughter of Lester Burdess and the late Dorothy Karraker Burdess.
Lynn Allen Smith
A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Lynn Allen Smith, 67, of Clermont, Fla., passed away at his home Feb. 23, 2014, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born July 22, 1946, in Stuttgart, Ark., and graduated from Dollarway High School in 1964.

Bessie Mae Murdock McDaniel, 96, departed for heaven the morning of Aug. 14, 2013. Born to Frank and Emma Jones Murdock on Sept. 28, 1916, Bessie was the eldest of 10 children.
