Hedden wins ASU License2Howl scholarship

On March 9, Sheridan High School Senior Sierra Hedden opened the SHS door to a surprise inside the Sheridan High School Library. Inside the library were friends, family and Arkansas State University representative, Tara Thomason, there to celebrate with her for winning the A-State License2Howl scholarship.

Local law professionals present mock trial at SIS

Grant County Circuit Judge Eddy Easley, Karla Koon, and local attorneys Ed Koon, Chris Goins, Anne Wells, Phil Wilson, and Margaret Dobson performed a mock trial based on Dr. Suess's book "Yertle the Turtle" for fifth and sixth grade students at Sheridan Intermediate School on March 28.

Beck Family Reunion

The Ruben Lowery and Alta Beck family had a reunion on March 26. There were 65 family members present. Dorey's Catfish catered the meal at the American Legion/D.A.V. Hall in Sheridan.
