New booster club for SHS, SJHS dance teams host fundraisers
A new booster club is helping to raise money to support the dance teams at Sheridan Junior High and High School. Officially becoming incorporated with the State of Arkansas on Aug. 9, the club elected its first set of officers in August. Those include Tamara Capps, President; Tina Goodson, Vice President; Tamara Davidson, Treasurer and Angie Banks, Secretary.
The Grant County Chamber of Commerce has released the names of winners in the multiple competitions held during Timberfest on Oct. 5-6 including the parade, BBQ championship, lumberjack competitions and the Baggo contest.
The following are a list of winners for Home Economics entries for the Grant County Fair.
Winners in the area of Horticulture include: Roanee Harper-Grand Champion in Horticulture, junior division; Anna Phelps-Reserve Champion in Horticulture, junior division; Sharon Hankins-Grand Champion in Horticulture, senior division; C.J. Carrell-Reserve Champion in Horticulture, in senior division; Floriculture winners include:Katie Vermilyea-Grand & Reserve Champion in Floriculture, junior division; Judy Davis-Grand Champion in Floriculture, senior division; Gina Clement-Reserve Champion in Floriculture, senior division.
