The University of Central Arkansas Norbert O. Schedler Honors College has selected 75 incoming first-year students as its newest class of Honors Scholars. The students were selected from a pool of over 250 qualified applicants, of which 120 were selected for intensive full-day interviews on the UCA campus.
The University of Central Arkansas recently announced that approximately 1,130 students will receive academic scholarships starting fall 2015. UCA awards six different academic scholarships to first-time entering freshmen based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores.
UALR recognizes those students whose academic performances have been superior at the end of each semester and in which the following qualifications have been met: At least nine hours for credit with a grade of A, B, C, or CR, at least a 3.9 grade point average, and no D, F, I, or NC grades on the semester grade report.
The following persons purchased marriage licenses in Grant County during the month of June 2015. All information was obtained from the marriage license record books kept at the Grant County Courthouse.
The Southeast Arkansas College Foundation recently hosted a reception in the SEARK College Welcome Center to mark the William A. Strong, Sr. Scholarship for Manufacturing Trades establishment of the which will be awarded each semester to a full-time SEARK College student.
