Need a ride to church? While most churches have a van to pick up their members, Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan has something unique, a church wagon! Church member Wayne Davis drives his wagon and mule or horse team nearly every Sunday, 17 miles round trip, and he will give anyone who wants to go to church a ride with him in the church wagon. Pictured with the wagon are (left to right) R.G. Plunkett (85), Larry Martin, Bonna Edwards (91), (kneeling) J.L. Davis, Wayne Davis, Jerry Herring and (standing) Brett Riggan and Bill Rainbolt.
First Baptist Church of Sheridan will host a Jazz Worship Concert by Jubilation Jazz on Saturday, April 21 at 6 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Jubilation Jazz is a 20-member worship orchestra made up of accomplished musicians from all over the state of Arkansas and neighboring states. Most band members work full-time jobs during the week and donate their time, travel expenses, and musical abilities for one reason, to musically share God’s message in an entertaining "Big Band" Jazz format.
