Wednesday- We sang some old hymns to the Lord. We had several good testimonies. Bro. Raymond taught on Psalms 103- Bless the Lord O my Soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Thank the Lord for his daily benefits. He forgives us, heals us, gives us his loving kindness, and tender mercies. The Lord is merciful and gracious. The mercy of the Lord is everlasting to everlasting! Bless the Lord O my soul.
Sunday morning- The choir did a great job singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Raymond was out sick with the flu, everyone continue to pray for him. Bro. Carroll Cotton taught the Sunday School lesson on “Giving” Malachi 8:3- First way of giving; give a tenth of your earnings to God. Don not rob God of the tenth you owe him. Be obedient to God. The second way of giving; the first fruits of our labor, then use the rest for our needs. The third way of giving; Almsgiving - giving to the people that are in need from your heart. Matthew 6:1-4- In secret, don’t broadcast it to everyone. Proverbs 19:17- In you give to the poor, you are giving to the Lord. II Corinthians 9:6- If you give bountifully, the Lord will bless you bountifully. Fourth way of giving; seed giving- Giving above and beyond what you’re expected to give, that way you plant a seed in someone’s heart, and lead them to God. Matthew 13:38- The good seeds are the children of the Lord.
Sunday night- There were several wonderful songs sang to the Lord, and the Lord blessed everyone of them. We had a great prayer service.
