There is a new Girl Scout troop in Sheridan this year! They are interested in making a difference in the Sheridan Community. Recently our troop held a food drive to benefit the Blessing Box. The girls were able to collect over 300 items to go towards this mission. The Cub Scouts were also invited to join in the Scout efforts and raised additional items. We are so proud of all our Sheridan Scouts and thier work towards an awesome community outreach project.
The Blessing Box has been available for a couple months now. It was started back in Sept 2017. The Blessing Box is to help people in need. We all need help from time to time whether it's just an after school snack, a meal for a night or a few groceries until the next paycheck. This ministry is just to fill in the gaps , like a box of Mac and cheese or a can of soup or chili. The box can be stocked with non perishable food items, hygiene products or other necessities.
Our hope is for the community to be a blessing and help donate as well as be blessed. Can goods, non perishable food, hygenine items, toilet paper, paper towels, baby food and formula.
