Sheridan Intermediate School students visited the Arkansas State Capitol and met Governor Asa Hutchinson on Oct. 15. The SIS school garden earned the Best Nutritional Garden of the Year. The school garden is maintained by SIS students under the direction of SIS Teacher Serena McGinley in partnership with Grant County Extension Agent Brad McGinley, Grant County Master Gardeners, Grant County Conservation District, and Grant County Extension Homemakers Club. The garden earned state recognition in 2017 as Best Environmental School Garden and in 2018 as School Garden of the Year.
