Lady Indians dominate Jessieville Lady Lions
It started out as a normal softball game, but it turned into a homerun derby for the Poyen Lady Indians, as they buried the Jessieville Lady Lions 19-1, on Monday, March 13. The Lady Indians accounted for a total of four homeruns in the game. Kindi Puckett was on the mound, as is usual, and she came out firing, racking up three strikeouts in the first inning. Even though the game was played at Poyen’s field, the Lady Indians were the visiting team on the scoreboard. Jessieville’s field was not ready for play due to rain. Poyen only scored one run in the first inning, as Kaylei Hopkins got an RBI on a hard-hit single that brought in Kindi Puckett, who had reached base on a walk.
