| Sheridan Yellowjackets slug it out with Pine Bluff, lose to Zebras in Fourth OT |
Sheridan and Pine Bluff stood toe to toe for a full game and four overtime periods, neither willing to back down. In the end, however, Sheridan, which had one of its most successful seasons in years, bowed out by a single point. Final score: 49-48. At game time, the temps were chilly, but band members, cheer squads, fans and players were creating their own warm as they readied for Round 1 of the 2019 Centennial Bank State Footballs.

| Poyen comes up short in playoffs | The Poyen Indians (7-4) saw their 2019 season come to an end with a 29-28 loss on the road to Parkers Chapel (7-4) in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs on Friday, Nov. 15. The Indians' offense controlled much of the game, amassing 466 yards (388 on the ground) and held the lead in the final minute of the game. But a touchdown and a 2-point conversion by the Trojans with 55 seconds remaining in the game sealed the Indians' fate. Wednesday, November 20, 2019

| Lady Indians dominate in opening game | The Poyen Lady Indians (1-0) picked up a 64-45 win over Christian Ministries Academy at home on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to start the 2019-2020 season. The Lady Indians' win was one of four that night for Poyen, as the junior girls, junior boys and senior boys all came away victorious.

| Indians start season strong | The Poyen Indians (1-0) began the 2019-2020 season at home on Tuesday, Nov. 12 and gave the fans something to cheer about.
The Indians hosted the Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors in the final game of a night that saw four teams from Poyen pick up big wins. The Poyen senior boys won the game 58-19, nearly scoring as many points in the first quarter (15) as the Conquerors did in the entire game.
