| | Yellowjackets open conference play with tough loss | The Sheridan Yellowjackets opened up conference play with a tough 68-54 loss on the road against a very talented Lake Hamilton Wolves team.
Head Coach Joe Scott said that while his team matched up well on paper, the game was somewhat of a mystery heading in as it was the first taste of conference play for either team.
"We only had one player, Ethan Odom, that had ever received viable playing time in the competitive 5A South conference," Coach Scott explained "We tend to play a bunch of sophomores and juniors, those younger players that just haven't seen a whole lot of minutes against tough conference opponents. So we were anxious to see where we stand since we are the youngest and smallest team in the conference

| | Indians' historic season continues |
Prior to the 2020 season, the Poyen Indians had hosted one playoff game in its 11-year team history, while the high mark for wins was seven, set in 2014, and tied again last year.
After the Indians' 48-26 dismantling of the Dierks Outlaws (9-2) on the road on Friday, Nov. 20, Poyen reached 10 wins, improving to 10-1.
