Sheridan athletes recently took part in the Arkansas Heptathlon and the Arkansas Decathlon, held at Ramay Junior High School in Fayetteville on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16. On Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16, members of the Sheridan High School track and field teams were at Ramay Junior High School in Fayetteville for the annual Arkansas Heptathlon and Arkansas Decathlon. In early January of this year, the Sheridan community and Yellowjacket Nation lost a beloved member of its family when former student Hope Carter lost her life in an automobile accident. The Noble Impact Class at SHS wanted a way to honor her memory, so they created the Hope Carter Memorial 3-on-3 Scholarship Soccer Tournament, which drew dozens of teams throughout the state and region.
