Businesses adjusting to new coronavirus world
Sterrett Ford's birthday was one he will never forget. Ford, who works at the family restaurant, Uncle Henry's Barbecue, turned 25 on March 12th. But there wasn't much to celebrate that day.

"My birthday was the day that everything went wrong," Ford recalled. "It was announced that there were several new cases in Arkansas, including one in Grant County. Schools started closing and panic sort of set it."

No Tull vote center for runoff election
A justice of the peace runoff election that would normally include the use of the vote center in the Tull community will not, thanks to the continuing worry over the coronavirus.
The decision, made by the Grant County Election Commission, means that the only place voters can cast ballots will be at the Grant County Courthouse, both during early voting and also on election day, March 31.

QC measure to help county, employees in case virus strikes
After a unanimous vote by the Grant County Quorum Court, county employees hit by the coronavirus or possibly infected by it will be able to miss work without losing any pay or time off.
The quorum court passed the ordinance on Monday night after Grant County Judge Randy Pruitt introduced it. He said it was provided to him by the Association of Arkansas Counties, which urged its passage.

Last week, the state closed schools in Grant County and three other counties to try to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
Attempting to fix that problem, however, created another because when schools are closed, students who depend on getting a meal while there are suddenly going to be going without.
