Town hall meeting on Veterans issues to be held May 6 The American Legion Post & DAV of Sheridan will be hosting Arkansas Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Curtis Coleman on Monday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in a town hall meeting concerning Veterans issues. Any and all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, former military members or family members of Veterans of all branches of service are welcome to attend. This is an opportunity to provide input concerning issues that Veterans face today with a gubernatorial candidate. Please come out to hear Coleman’s thoughts concerning Veterans issues and to voice your desires and concerns concerning Veterans issues. The American Legion / DAV building is located directly behind the Arkansas Army National Guard Armory at 91 Grant 74 in Sheridan.
Conservative Dinner is May 18 The Conservative Dinner, a fundraiser for the Grant County Republican Party, will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Prattsville Community Center. CGFD hosting fundraiser The Center Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at 7183 Hwy. 270 E. in Sheridan. The Cajuns are coming and ready to cook, including crawfish and jambalaya and hot dogs for the children. There will be live entertainment all day. Grant Co. Democratic Women The newly formed Grant County Democratic Women group will meet May 13 at the Sheridan Recreation Center at 6:30 p.m. in Room 1. Monthly programs will feature speakers on legislation issues in the state. We are looking to expand our membership.
Moore’s Chapel Cemetery meeting set for May 7 Moore’s Chapel Cemetery Association will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at the church. Everyone interested in the cemetery is invited. Student inoculation required Documentation of a Tdap in oculation (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) within the past two years is required by law of all incoming seventh grade students for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year. Official medical documentation from a physician or health unit from which the vaccine was given is required prior to Aug. 19, 2013, which is the first day of school.
