Town Clean-Up set for April 27

The first annual Town Clean-Up Day has been set for Saturday, April 27, just in time for the sesquicentennial celebration, which will be held the following weekend on the courthouse square. The clean-up day sponsored by Kick Start Sheridan will include volunteers helping with tasks like planting the six planters on the square and picking up trash and limbs.

Young and old alike enjoy annual antique tractor, machinery show

Lonnie Duncan, 54, holds his grandson, Tyler Ferris, 18 months, as he stands between the two tractors he brought to the Central Arkansas Antique Machinery and Historical Society gathering. Duncan brought his 1937 John Deere B and his 1960 Ford 601.

Shirron announces intent to run for Circuit Judge

Stephen L. Shirron, Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 7th Judicial District, has announced his candidacy for 7th Judicial District Circuit Judge, Division 2.  The 7th Judicial District encompasses all of Grant and Hot Spring Counties.  The position is currently held by the Honorable Judge Eddy R. Easley, who is not seeking re-election.
